Obscure artist Tom Hicks has been invited to exhibit his paintings at the Waukesha, Wisconsin Library.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m filling a 32 foot wall behind the computer area on the first floor I paint on pretty big canvases because I don\u2019t like to wear my glasses when I work. I filled the entire space with just 8 of my paintings.\u201d said Hicks.<\/p>\n

The artist’s favorite: “Scuba Diver Captured by Aliens”<\/p><\/div>\n

When asked which of the paintings were his favorite, Hicks replied, \u201cThat would have to be Scuba Diver Captured by Aliens. <\/span><\/i>It\u2019s a real mind f***er, Man. <\/i>There was a guy standing in front of that painting for maybe a half-hour while I was putting up my exhibit today. I asked him if he liked it and he replied that the same thing happened to him while he vacationed in Florida. He told me the aliens thought he was a fish and released him just after his air tank emptied.\u201d<\/p>\n

Waukesha Library managers refused to comment on the exhibit, but an employee said that she thought it was a colorful, interesting exhibit and perhaps it would decrease the amount of porn surfed by patrons in the library\u2019s computer area.<\/p>\n

The art exhibit will run through the month of February. Hicks said, \u201cI\u2019m gonna return at the end of the month and install a fresh batch of stuff, if they let me. And those paintings will be up until the end of March.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Waukesha, Wisconsin library is located at 321 Wisconsin Avenue and the exhibit will be open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and at 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.<\/p>\n
